I am Claire, an artist and this is my partner Julian a sculptor, we fell in love with the lush north of Corfu some years ago while visiting it on a holiday. Since then we have found and lovingly renovated the first bakery in this area which is now a characterful holiday home (sleeps10) over the summer months and our family home for the rest of the year. Complete with E.O.T license (Greek Tourism license), we have tried to make the accommodation as comfortable as possible, having done a fair bit of traveling ourselves and had some bad experiences! We pride ourselves on providing a friendly personal service and go the extra mile to make your holiday special. Living here year round we are on hand if you need anything during your stay, and knowing the island like we do, can point you towards must see places while you're here.
The Old Bakery consists of a cottage (sleeps 6) and an adjoining apartment (sleeps 4) There is a spacious 100sqm roof terrace above complete with a 10m rooftop lap pool. From here there are panoramic views across Ionian sea to the Albanian mountains beyond and the hills and olive groves which surround the village. For details of the accommodation, availability dates and prices see our ‘Accommodation Info page. You can email Claire or Julian at email@example.com
The Old Bakery is situated in the friendly traditional village of Agios Martinos, just 3km inland from Acharavi, one of the more vibrant resorts on the north coast. Nestling in the gentle foothills of Mt.Pantkrator, the highest peak of Corfu, we offer a perfect base for walkers, artists, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts alike. Corfu is particularly lush and beautiful in the springtime with it's abundance of wild flowers, take a look at our 'Island gallery' and 'North Corfu Wildlife' pages to get an idea of what to expect to see.
"Dear Julian and Claire, What a lovely and lazy holiday we had in your home! You have made our stay so warm, so welcomed with all these thoughtful little things - dolmades, sun-dried tomatoes, plums and grapes from your garden... not to mention your lovely personalities! Treasure what you have and may success follow you everywhere you go. Life is indeed short, every minute of happiness counts! With warm wishes from a cold country (Estonia) Heli and Heiki, P.S Your olive oil is simply the best!"
