Both myself and my husband are artists and sculptors and fell in love with the lush north of Corfu some years ago. Since then we have lovingly renovated the first bakery in this area, which is now our family home, incorporating a holiday apartment. We have tried to make the accommodation as comfortable as possible, having done a fair bit of traveling ourselves and had some bad experiences! We pride ourselves on providing a friendly personal service and go the extra mile to make your holiday special. Living here year round we are on hand if you need anything during your stay, and knowing the island like we do, can point you towards must see places while you're here.
The Bakery Apartment is situated in the friendly traditional village of Agios Martinos, just 3km behind Acharavi on the north coast. It is on one level, has two double bedrooms, bathroom and an open plan fully equiped kitchen/living room. Outside there is a dining/bbq area beneath the olive trees, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peace! Guests of the apartment have sole use of the roof top lap pool and terrace from which there are lovely views of the surrounding countryside and across the sea to the mountains of Albania. See the 'Accommodation Info' pages for more details, rental prices and guest reviews.
Being situated in the gentle foothills of Mt.Pantkrator, the highest peak of Corfu, we offer perfect base for walkers, artists, birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts. Corfu is particularly lush and beautiful in the springtime with it's abundance of wild flowers, take a look at our island gallery and North Corfu Wildlife pages to get an idea of what to expect to see.
"Dear Julian and Claire, What a lovely and lazy holiday we had in your home! You have made our stay so warm, so welcomed with all these thoughtful little things - dolmades, sun-dried tomatoes, plums and grapes from your garden... not to mention your lovely personalities! Treasure what you have and may success follow you everywhere you go. Life is indeed short, every minute of happiness counts! With warm wishes from a cold country (Estonia) Heli and Heiki, P.S Your olive oil is simply the best!"
